Welcome to Nao Now! The online privacy and safety of our students is very important to us. This direct privacy notice describes our practices involving the online collection, use, and disclosure of personal information obtained from students in connection with our Nao Now online educational service.

We may share or otherwise disclose the personal information we collect from our students as described below and in the Nao Now Privacy Policy:

Mentors: Students can schedule and take lessons with mentors through video chat sessions. During the session, the mentor will receive the student's first name and be able to access the student's English learning progress in order to offer feedback. The Nao Now Site does not otherwise enable students to make personal information available to others or publicly available. Lessons are recorded for teacher monitoring and potential advertising purposes.

Mentors may change during the middle of a package. It is not guaranteed that your teacher will teach the entire subscription length. We do not reimburse students for mentor changes during a package.

Lesson Recordings: We record lessons for various purposes, including teacher monitoring, quality assurance, and to provide students with the ability to review and rewatch their lessons on the Nao Now dashboard. Recordings will expire after 3 months, so if you wish to keep a copy, please download them before the expiration date. After 3 months, we will automatically remove the recordings from the dashboard.

Refund Policy: Refunds may be issued before the completion of the third class. The refund amount will be reduced by the cost of any completed classes. Once three classes have been attended, refunds will no longer be available.

In rare cases where significant issues have negatively impacted the learning experience, a refund may still be considered after three classes. However, these requests will undergo a strict review process, and approval is not guaranteed. If a refund is granted under these exceptional circumstances, a 10% penalty fee will apply to the refunded amount, and the full cost of completed classes (before any discounts) will be deducted.

Nao Now prioritizes finding alternative solutions over issuing refunds. Please note that once processed, refunds may take up to 7 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.

Additionally, please be aware that by choosing our services, you are engaging with a U.S. based company, and our refund policies are governed by U.S. regulations. Korean laws regarding consumer refunds do not apply to our services, as we offer access to American mentors and operate under U.S. terms and conditions.

Service Providers: We share personal information with third-party service providers, contractors, or agents to assist us in making the Nao Now Site available or to help us improve the Nao Now Site, such as by providing video services, database hosting, and data storage.

Scheduling and Participation: Students are responsible for booking their own schedules and must participate in classes with a device that meets our minimum requirements. Students must cancel or reschedule their own classes as needed, but please note that classes cannot be rescheduled within 48 hours of the scheduled time.

Sick Days: A sick day is allowed only once a month, and it must be accompanied by a doctor’s note.

Cancellation Policy: Please refrain from changing or canceling classes once your schedule is confirmed. Our mentors have set schedules that we need to respect. However, if you must cancel, please ensure that you do so more than 24 hours in advance. If you cancel a class within 24 hours, you will lose the lesson credit.

Payment: Payment for our services can be made either in full upfront or through installment plans. Payments will occur through a third-party payment system. Please be aware that transaction fees may be incurred during the payment process. These fees are determined by your bank or payment provider and are not under our control. Consequently, Nao Now is unable to reimburse any transaction fees incurred during payment. We advise you to consult with your bank or payment provider for details on any potential fees before proceeding with the transaction to ensure full transparency and preparedness.

Mobile Services: Use of the Nao Now App may require usage of data services provided by your wireless service carrier. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for data usage fees and any other fees that your wireless service carrier may charge in connection with your use of the App.

Business Transactions: In the event of a merger, sale of capital stock or assets, reorganization, capital investment, consolidation, or similar transaction (or the due diligence in contemplation thereof) involving Nao Now, the information we possess, including personal information collected from students, shall be transferred as a corporate asset to the acquiring entity. We will notify you via email and/or post a prominent notice on our Nao Now Site of any change in ownership or uses of personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.

Legal Compliance: We will use and disclose personal information collected from students where we, in good faith, believe that the law or legal process (such as a court order, search warrant, or subpoena) requires us to do so or in other circumstances where we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Nao Now, our users, and/or third parties.

We may share aggregated, de-identified data relating to activity on the Nao Now Site with third parties or the general public for advertising with student consent. By way of example only, this may include the provision of reports regarding student engagement with the Nao Now Site and/or English learning progress for such purposes as educational research, to evaluate the educational benefit of using the Nao Now Site, to improve the Nao Now Site, or to show the efficacy and usage when marketing the Nao Now Site. Such aggregated, de-identified data will not contain any personal information from students.

We do not share or disclose student personal information for marketing purposes, including to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
